The Ghaziabad is an industrious city in Uttar Pradesh, a state in India. It has been the home of the Ghaziabad district headquarters. It was originally part of the Meerut District. But by the time it gained its independence it was separated to a new district due to political intervention. Though the reason was clearly political, the cited reason was Meerut district was to big that it would be easier to handle if it were divided into two districts. The district of Ghaziabad is then categorized as one of the Minority Concentrated District in India. This was based on the 2001 census.
The original name of the Ghaziabad was Ghaziuddinnagar. This was the given name by the person who founded the place. He named it after his name Ghazi-ud-din. Since the name was so long, it was shortened to Ghaziabad.
As of now, it has large industries around the city. These industries are connected to the roads and railways of the city. There were also industries in the city that produces railway coaches, tapestries, diesel engines, pottery, glassware, bicycles, varnish, paint and heavy chains.
There were also many other thriving industries, and pretty soon, there were multiplexes of malls being constructed to serve as cluster of stalls to these businesses. These malls became the major distributors of these establishments. The multiplexes have come out from nowhere to provide services that can not rank behind other construction services. There were definitely a lot of construction works that were offered here.
